The process – mold

After identifying where the moisture is coming from, a repair and demo will be required to expose the problem area. Containment structures will be built to prevent additional exposure. This will be done by a restoration company before our visit.
Note: Physical removal of mold is the only acceptable repair. Bleach, foggers and biocides are not acceptable repair. Mold is very dangerous and often affects infants and children as well as older people.
Once containment is done, we come in and dry ice blast the mold from the surface, leaving the wood clean and dry. This strips a clean layer off together, killing the mold as well as physically removing it. Ice blasting is the most effective solution for mold removal as it can get into any corner and crack with extremely small limitations.
How does it work? A cleaning media is accelerated in a pressurized air stream to impact the surface that is to be cleaned. Small particles of dry ice turn into CO2 gas upon impact, which is an environmentally friendly gas found in our atmosphere.
HEPA vacuum is brought in with a 10-micron filter to remove any debris and make your space mold-free. The restoration company will continue working to put your space back together.
